Heres what I painted today..Was going through a lovely watercolor instruction book called 'Watercolor:Fundamentals for beginners' and they have an exercise where you are supposed to use only 2 dominating colors(sienna and blue) to paint a still life...This is what I ended up with by following the instructions. The pencil and the letter is my addition to the original painting..

Butterfly
Heres a painting I did a couple of days back..I've just started to experiment with watercolors and this is my second painting....I think it came out fine for a beginner though I'm pushing for some realism in my paintings..I'd love for my paintings to look more like a photograph rahter than a painting in itself....I've always believed that a good painter is identifed by how relaistic his paintings look...

First drawing
I come from a family of artists.Though none of them have pursued an art career almost everyone from my mom and dads family is into some form of art.My dad is my teacher when it comes to drawing and painting.I've always enjoyed sketching and drawing however,I've had issues with my patience level and so I stopped drawing for over 10 yrs.A few months back I picked up a sketch book and registered with Wetcanvas and this drawing was the first drawing I did after a 10 yr break.
Indian lady
A quick sketch of a lady in a sari(Traditional indian dress). The drawing was a part of a weekly draiwng challenge on Wetcanvas. The challenge was to incorporate and artichoke into a drawing and this was what I came up with. Many Indian women adorn flowers in their hair and here I thought an artichoke fit the chignon perfectly...
